ALOFT GROUP’S INTERACTIVE WORK DEEMED WEBBY WORTHY
GeoDeck Web Site Honored at 9th Annual Webby Awards

NEWBURYPORT, MA—Aloft Group was named a Webby Worthy Award winner as part of the 9th Annual Webby Awards, presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The honor was given on behalf of GeoDeck’s Web site for Aloft Group’s “outstanding caliber of work.”

More than 4,300 entries were submitted—from all 50 states and over 40 countries—to the 9th Annual Webby Awards and fewer than 20% were deemed Webby Worthy.

“It’s very gratifying to have our work honored by the ‘Oscars of the Internet’,” said Brent Martino, Aloft Group’s interactive manager.

This year’s Webby Awards nominees were announced April 12, 2005 and winners were honored at a gala celebration on June 6, 2005 at Gotham Hall in New York City.

The winning team at Aloft Group consisted of David Blanchette, creative director, art director and designer; Gino Bona, copywriter; Brent Martino, Web master; and Janet Mansfield, account manager.

Aloft Group's creative work has also received praise from the American Graphic Design Awards, U.S. Ad Review, NewYorkTimes.com, and the Advertising Community Together (ACT).

About The Webby Awards The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence in Web design, creativity, usability, and functionality. Established in 1996 during the Web's infancy, the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 500-member body of leading web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries, and creative celebrities.

About GeoDeck The GeoDeck™ composite decking and railing system is the product of years of research and development. The key to GeoDeck is Biodac®, its proprietary ingredient that has exceptional fade-resistant qualities. Biodac, which is made by the recovery of purified cellulose fibers and other minerals, has low amounts of Lignins. Lignins are found in wood products, the ingredient found in other composite products, and are a major contributor to fading. Biodac’s low Lignin count makes GeoDeck more resistant to fading. In addition to Biodac, GeoDeck is made with recycled plastic, giving it the look and feel of wood and the longevity of plastic. GeoDeck is available nationwide.
